Pink Floyd Pink Floyd, 1965 yılında kurulan ve içinde değişik ses tonlarını ve yenilikçi müzik türlerini birleştiren özgün tarzlarıyla tanınan efsanevi bir İngiliz rock grubudur. Syd Barrett, Rick Wright, Nick Mason ve Roger Waters tarafından kurulmuştur.  Grubun isim babası Syd Barrett’dir. İki blues müzisyeni Pink Anderson ve Floyd Council'nin ilk isimlerini seçerek gruba Pink Floyd ismini vermiştir. 1967 yılında Syd Barrett gruptan ayrılınca onun yerine şarkı yazarı ve gitarist David Gilmour gruba dahil olmuştur.  Grup 300 milyondan fazla albüm satarak, tüm zamanların en başarılı müzik gruplarından biri olarak sınıflandırılmıştır.  “The Dark Side of the Moon” (1973) “Wish You Were Here “ ( 1975)  “The Wall” (1979) gibi albümler Pink Floyd’un önemli yapıtlardır.  Grup ayrıca etkileyici görsel sahne performanslarıyla,  derin konsept albümleriyle ve albüm kapaklarındaki simgesel posterlerle tanınır.  Çok tanınan “The Wall” albümü filme alınmıştır. Grup  devamında 1983 yılımda “The Final Cut” albümünü çıkartmıştır fakat The Wall’nın içeriğinde söz sahibi Roger Waters, Pink Floyd’dan ayrılmıştır. Sonrasında Mason, Gilmour ve Wright bu isim altında bir müddet daha Pink Floyd’u yaşatmışlardır.   Roger Waters'ın “The Wall” konseri, 1990 yılında Berlin'de, eski Berlin Duvarı'nın bulunduğu alanda gerçekleşmiştir. Bu konser, Berlin Duvarı'nın yıkılmasının ardından düzenlenen sembolik bir etkinlik olarak bilinir. The Wall albümünün yapımcısı Roger Waters bu albümündeki parçaları solo olarak sahneye taşırken, konserde Pink Floyd'un diğer üyeleri yer almamıştır.  Yenilikçi müzikleri, derin temaları ve benzersiz atmosferleri, Pink Floyd'un tüm zamanların en etkili ve popüler rock gruplarından biri olmasına katkıda bulunmuştur.  Pink Floyd insanları düşündüren, dünyayı eleştirel bir şekilde sorgulamalarını sağlayan sosyal ve politik konuları işlemiştir. Yeni ses tekniklerini ve elektronik enstrümanlarla farklı ses tonlarını müziklerine yansıtmıştır.  Pink Floyd'un müziği dinleyicisinin hayal kurmasını, kendi ruhuna yolculuk etmesine davet eden bir dünyaya sürüklemiştir. Parçaları genellikle özgürlük ve bağımsızlık mesajları vermiştir. Pink Floyd pek çok başka gruba ve müzisyene ilham vermiş ve onları etkilemiş, bu da müziklerinin günümüzde de güncel ve tanınır kalmasına yardımcı olmuştur.  1970’li yıllarda Türkiye’nin genç kuşağı kurulu düzene uyum sağlayamamış, biat etmek istemeyen dinamik, atak, gelişime ve yeniliğe açık bir gençlikti. Gençliklerinden dolayı belki birikimleri yeterli değildi, her yönden belki toydu, acemiydi ve amatördü. Fakat bu gençlik, batı gençliği gibi statükoya karşıydı, batı gençliği gibi  daha çok demokrasi, bağımsızlık ve özgürlük istiyordu. O yılların karar vericileri: “ Bunlar henüz gençtir, üzerlerine fazla gitmeyelim, gelişmelerini tamamlasınlar" demediler. Gençliği anlamadılar.  İşte bu noktada 70’li gençlik yıllarımda tanıştığım Pink Floyd beni düşünmeye, hayal etmeye ve özgürlüğüme davet eden bir yolculuğa çıkartmıştı. 2017 yılında Londra’daki Victoria Albert müzesindeki Pink Floyd sergisini ziyaret etmiş ve çok etkilenmiştim. Son olarak 24 Nisan tarihinde yeniden uyarlanmış olarak vizyona giren “Pink Floyd at Pompeii” filmini sinemada seyr ettim.  Silifke Sesimiz gazetesinin yazarlarından Alparslan Akdeniz kardeşim “Genciz ama yorgunuz” diye çok güzel bir yazı kaleme almış ve yazısında “2025 yılında  genç olmak  yalnızca bir biyolojik evreyi temsil etmiyor; aynı zamanda bir hayatta kalma stratejisini, bir direnme pratiğini ve sistemsel baskılarla şekillenmiş bir mücadeleyi ifade ediyor” diyerek, gençliğin sıkıntılarını dile getirmiş.  Bu yazının ışığında Pink Floyd’un 1972 yılında seyircisiz olarak Pompeii antik tiyatrosunda verdikleri konserde çaldıkları parçaları sinemada dinlerken, ben yine o gençlik yıllarıma geri döndüm. Ve günümüzün umutsuz gençliğini düşündüm, 1970’lerden pek farkı olmadığını sezinledim ve kendi kendime “Gençlerimizi daha çok anlamalıyız. Gençler hata yapabilirler. Ama onları stratejik bir engel olarak görmemeliyiz. Uzlaşıcı olmalıyız. Mutlak güç ve itaat duygusundan uzak  kalmalıyız” dedim.  Sözün özü: Yukarıda anlatmaya çalıştığım gibi Pink Floyd bir kültürdür. Bende çok derin iz bırakmıştır. İkinci derin iz ise Galatasaraylılık kültürüdür. Bugün bir efsane olan Metin Oktay sadece futbolu ile sevilmemiştir, duruşuyla haksızlığa olan tepkisiyle kalplere yazılmıştır. The youth of Türkiye  in the 1970s was dynamic, proactive, open to development and innovation, and unwilling to conform to the established order. Although they may not have had sufficient experience and were somewhat naive and amateur due to their youth, they, like the youth in the West, opposed the status quo and demanded more democracy, independence, and freedom. The decision-makers of that time did not say, “They are still young; let’s not be too harsh, let them grow.” They failed to understand the youth. In short, Pink Floyd, whom I discovered in my youthful years in the 1970s, took me on a journey inviting me to think, dream, and seek freedom. In 2017, I visited the Pink Floyd exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and was deeply impressed. Most recently, on April 24, I watched the newly adapted film “Pink Floyd at Pompeii”. Alparslan Akdeniz, one of the writers for Silifke Sesimiz newspaper, wrote a beautiful article titled “We are young but tired”, where he stated, “In 2025, being young does not only represent a biological phase; it also expresses a survival strategy, a practice of resistance, and a struggle shaped by systemic pressures,” thus voicing the struggles of youth. In light of this article, while listening to the tracks performed by Pink Floyd during their 1972 concert at the ancient amphitheater in Pompeii without an audience, I once again returned to my youthful years. I thought about today’s hopeless youth and realized that it’s not much different from the 1970s. I told myself, “We must understand our youth better. Young people may make mistakes. But we should not see them as a strategic threat. We must be conciliatory. We must stay away from the notion of absolute power and blind obedience.” In summary: As I tried to convey above, Pink Floyd is a culture. It has left a profound mark on me. The second deep mark is the culture of being a Galatasaray fan. Metin Oktay, football player, who is a legend today, was loved not only for his football skills but also for his stance and his reaction to injustice, which engraved him in people’s hearts.
